Snow – 8

At dawn, a pink line of sky bordered above by lettuce hem smudged grey cloud, as if a pink fire raged beyond, reflected in the brightening sky. Pink turns to peach and then fades to pale yellow light as the sun rises. Snow clouds now cover the sky, threatening with fatal, falling flakes.

Wow! What a beautiful and unusual description. I love your use of colours. Two phrases in particular I found startling and surprising the ” lettuce hem smudged grey” and “fatal, falling flakes”. Fantastic!

  2. …love the color change sequence! 🙂

There is an incredible softness to those lines. Beautiful.
