A Picnic At Knole and Hedgerows

Due to being ill for the last 9 months, I haven’t had any time to send out work anywhere. However, some poems and a story I sent out before I fell ill, have been published.
My short story, A Picnic At Knole was published in Liphar Magazine’s 2nd story collection which can be purchased at Liphar Volume 2. You can read more about it at A Picnic At Knole
Dial 174 has continued to publish my poems, the latest of which is No, I’m Not Interested In Babies! This poem was written years before I met my soulmate, when I was fed up with being asked why I hadn’t got a boyfriend…
Dial 174 is available by post from John Claypole, Editor, Dial 174, 6 Helpston Rd, Glinton, Peterborough, Cambs, PE6 7JT. If you do subscribe, please mention my name!
More recently, I’ve had a poem published at Hedgerow which is a beautiful blog run by Caroline Skanne
I was also interviewed by Sharmishtha at Wing of Dreams – please pop over and check out the dates 11th to 18th May 2015!

  1. Kev Says:

I hope the chemo is working and that you are pulling through, Freya… blessings.

    • in theory the chemo has worked because I’m finding it hard to lose the excess weight the steroids made me put! won’t know 100% for certain until August tho, when I see the consultant again. thank you for your words and blessings!

      • Kev Says:

Then let’s hope it’s beyond theory. How come you don’t see your consultant until August? Seems a long time to me. I do hope you can contact if questions arise. πŸ™‚

        • technically I’m cancer free because the tumour was removed last year – that’s why I have to wait so long to see the consultant. the chemo was “just to mop up” the traces of cancer in the blood vessels feeding the section of the bowel where the tumour had been… I’d rather know one way or the other, but…. for now I just have to wait… I have a specialist nurse I can contact if I’m worried about anything!

  2. Dan Hoger Says:

How are you doing? I hope you are recovering.

  3. Libby Says:

Congratulations. So good that that you have managed to keep being published. Long may it continue.
