cinquain – 7

mountain
clouds ascend in
riotous formation
grey bulks pouring, evaporate;
morning

Yes! I went out to get the paper in bitter cold and saw a hawk coming from the direction of the hill – (I didn’t get a chance to post it yet…but I wrote about it for a prompt:

    Enchanted?

    drip, drip, drizzle
    coffee brews
    drawn through the filter
as frost explodes in brilliant hues by the morning sun
so I saw when quickly stepping outside to retrieve the paper
    the hawk soars high –
    drip, drip, drizzle

    Kriee, kriee, craw
    wings in a circle flight
    drawn through blue sky
as an aroma of grown beans brews
I wonder what the hawk is thinking
    as he sees me
    Kriee, kriee, craw
