Butterfly Cinquain 8

31 August, 2016
blind worm
writhes, knots himself
into a pink and red
cat’s cradle, I slice the earth clod
and he
tumbles into utter darkness
as the brown soil crumbles,
no tomb for him –
he’s home

Wednesday Words – Dark Clouds

18 September, 2013
Dark clouds are where God can be found. I shouldn’t run from dark clouds or stand a long way off as the Israelites did. I should go into the dark cloud without shrinking, as Moses did, to hear what God is saying… Through dark clouds, revelations come. Difficult times are not symbols that God has deserted us, but rather, that He’s invited us in to learn more about Himself.
