Telepathic communication and strange new worlds … These were the themes of the poem and short story that were given as my June Rewards for my Patreon supporters.
If you missed out on these rewards, don’t worry! If you pledge your support for me at Patreon before 1st July, you will be able to access the July Rewards.
Once published, my books need to be promoted. This can only be done effectively if I pay established companies to promote my novels etc. Therefore, I am seeking to promote my books on a weekly basis and to do that properly, I need at least $30 per month. Without promotion I cannot sell my work. If I can sell a certain amount of books per month, I can then fulfil my dream of being a full time writer!
In July, my supporters will receive a previously unpublished elfje sequence about the brief life of leaves and/or a previously unpublished story about a diminutive character who finds himself lost in a fairy tale …
See you at Patreon soon!

Butterfly Cinquain 5

16 August, 2016
misted
trees softened by
both rain and emerging
leaf. The landscape undulates and
sways in
a green-touched prevailing wind from
the south. Yellow- green now
are the spiky
branches.

Butterfly Cinquain 4

10 August, 2016
beads of
moisture on blade
of grass, scent of dampness
permeates the misty air, rain –
drops fall,
soft and mild on earth and leaf, as
these April showers drift
in on the south-
west wind.

About Trees…

5 May, 2014
I grew up in the countryside and have always loved trees; not to climb but just as beautiful plants. My favourite tree is the oak, of which there are many in this part of the land. I love their wide girth and textured bark. It always amazes me each year how the bare branches put forth fragile new leaves that provide such a dense shade in summer. To me, trees are living creatures – think of the Ents in The Lord of the Rings! Without them the landscape would be bleak and barren. Join me as I post snapshots in words about my favourite trees this month…

Being 53

large, yellow leaf, loud against dreary concrete; no veins, no mark, just solid ochre-yellow
