Dragonscale Paintings – 20170307

7 March, 2017
I’ve been trying out new things this year – what do you think of this?

I was inspired by Elisa Choi Ang’s workshops over at SkillShare
I find painting like this very therapeutic – it helps me relax mentally and stimulates my creative flow. I can only produce abstract paintings. I have lost the ability to draw properly – an effect of cancer/chemo perhaps?
Why don’t you try Elisa’s workshops? She makes painting accessible to everyone!

Dragonscale Portraits – Photograph 20170228

28 February, 2017

I’m trying out something a bit different today, just to see if people like it or not.
I don’t really do an awful lot of photography at the moment, for one reason or another but I wanted to share this photograph with you. I took it a month or so ago when we had snow and Joey, the greyhound I babysit for 2-3 days a week, felt the cold!
Greyhounds are very sensitive to the cold, so, instead of letting him lie on his quilt on his bed, I draped the quilt over him. He loved it!
I’ve shared another photo taken at this time with my Patreon supporters. And there’s another one that appeared in my guest post over at Sue Vincent’s blog in January. Joey also appears briefly in my video Insides.

Insides

17 October, 2016

Today is a very emotional day for me…
Today I am launching my first poetry collection!
Insides is my journey through cancer, surgery and chemotherapy.
The process of writing it was initially a therapy for myself but I also wanted to comfort other cancer sufferers as well as trying to convey to those who have no experience of the disease, what it means to have cancer.
From darkness into light, from the depths of exhaustion through a slow rise to recovery; this is a very personal journey.
Will you join me?
In this collection I’m not hiding behind any of my fictional characters such as Dracomagan or Parsley. This is me on a journey I will never, ever forget.
It is available at Amazon UK and Amazon US.
At the moment, it’s only available as an e-book – the paperback will be released in 2017.
And I’ve also produced a short video about it at YouTube.
Please feel free to share and re-blog this post!
